Privacy Declaration
1. Who is responsible
This website is published and operated by Credenco B.V., registered in the Netherlands, acting as data controller for the limited processing described below. Questions about this declaration can be sent to the contact address in section 9.
2. What we process
We keep the processing deliberately narrow. There is no analytics software of any kind on this site:
- Technical request data. Your IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp are recorded in server logs. These are needed to serve the site and to detect abuse.
- Correspondence. If you email us, we process the contents of your message and your address in order to reply.
We do not process special categories of personal data, and we do not use this website to make automated decisions about anyone.
3. Why we process it
Technical request data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating a secure, functioning website and understanding at a coarse level which explanations are useful. Correspondence is processed on the basis of your own request (Article 6(1)(b) or (f), depending on the context).
4. Cookies
This site sets no cookies at all, so there is nothing to consent to and no banner to click away. The only thing it stores in your browser is a single session flag used to stop a reload loop when a page is updated while your tab is open; it is deleted when you close the tab and tells us nothing about you. No advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking is placed. If that ever changes, a consent banner will appear before any non-essential cookie is set, and this section will say so.
5. External links and embedded content
The site links out to third parties such as the European Commission, the FIDES community and wallet providers. Once you follow a link, that party's own privacy policy applies. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, their processing. Fonts, images and scripts are served from this site's own domain, so loading a page does not disclose your IP address to any third party.
6. Hosting and recipients
The site is hosted within the European Union. Access to logs is limited to the people who need it to operate the service. Processors act under a data processing agreement and only on our instructions. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we transfer it outside the EEA only where an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards are in place.
7. Retention
Server logs are retained for no longer than is needed for security and troubleshooting, ordinarily a matter of weeks. Correspondence is kept for as long as the matter is open, and thereafter only where a legal obligation requires it.
8. Your rights
You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Exercising these rights is free of charge; we respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
9. Contact
Write to info@credenco.com. Please state clearly which right you wish to exercise so that we can handle the request without asking for more data than necessary.
10. Changes
We may update this declaration as the site develops. The version number and date at the top always reflect the current text. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
